Trekmates Flameless cook flask – review

I’ve been using this for: A couple of weeks Where?: Valley cragging and walking Website: http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/trekmates-flameless-cook-flask-p195314 This unusual camping mug uses a chemical heatpack to heat it’s contents. There’s no flame, or carbon monoxide so the idea is that it’s super safe, people can use it inside their tents etc. (the instructions do say to use it in well ventilated areas though) I was sent one to test, so far I’ve used it a few times whilst out in the valley doing some climbing. Training for the Matterhorn in North Wales

A belated report from Matt who along with Simon was out with the “Matterhorn Boys” in North Wales as part of their preparation for the Alps this summer. North Wales Saturday 15th June On what was supposed to be a bit of a wash out in North Wales, we spent some of the finest days I have had working in the Ogwen valley. It's that time of year.... the summer isn't far away and it's worth thinking about summer alpine plans early. Booking guides and huts are worth doing in advance! And that isn't a marketing ploy by the way :)
This year we have a few trips scheduled, including Mont Blanc (3 trips), Matterhorn and some lesser known peaks like the Domes du Miage.
Have a browse of the scheduled trips page - and give us a bell if you'd like to arrange a trip on different dates, we have a list of people who'd like to share some guided climbing adventures.

Another day of laps in the trees. Low angled slopes avoiding the avi hazard and trying to keep out of the wind. Pretty wild weather at the moment.
