Deep Water Solo Exeter 2014

The UK’s first inland deep water solo competition takes place this coming weekend in Exeter. The quay climbing center is organising/hosting the event, which sounds amazing. It’s the perfect location as well, deep water, a good piazza for the spectators and plenty of cafes on hand for the coffees! If your in the area you should go and check it out. Snowy and Windy in the Valais

Shut down again by the wind this morning. We were on our way up the Dent Blanche south ridge, but with a deteriorating weather forecast and strong cold winds already blowing, we turned around before getting too committed. It's that time of year.... the summer isn't far away and it's worth thinking about summer alpine plans early. Booking guides and huts are worth doing in advance! And that isn't a marketing ploy by the way :)
This year we have a few trips scheduled, including Mont Blanc (3 trips), Matterhorn and some lesser known peaks like the Domes du Miage.
Have a browse of the scheduled trips page - and give us a bell if you'd like to arrange a trip on different dates, we have a list of people who'd like to share some guided climbing adventures.

Another day of laps in the trees. Low angled slopes avoiding the avi hazard and trying to keep out of the wind. Pretty wild weather at the moment.
