For Tony’s final day in Scotland we were keen to get on some steeper climbing, but were also wanting to avoid the wind higher up the mountain.
The cascade style climbs above the CIC hut were the answer. We went for the steeper line further right, which was probably IV, 5 in the condition we found it with a nice vertical section on the first pitch.
It was a bit of a short sharp introduction for Tony, who experienced forearm and calf pump in equal quantities!
Loads of ice on the mountain at the moment, and it’s growing all the time…. Happy days.
