Spring is a great time anywhere, yesterday we had fresh snowfall in the mountains and today it’s warm enough to boulder in the valley whilst the high peaks still have their dusting of snow.

The boulder in “Snells Field” called La Pierre d’Orthaz is perfect for chilled out climbing in the sun. Plenty of sunbathing spots and no need for a guidebook.

It’s great to be out on the rock again, the weather’s looking a bit mixed for the rest of the week, but the odd sneaky boulder would be nice.
