Last weekend was a bit like a mini international meet in Portland, four clients from around the globe now living in London and climbing regularly at their local wall making them ideal candidates for a weekend learning to lead on some great sport routes.

The weather was great all weekend so after getting to grips with climbing outside on The Fallen Block it was straight down to business on Diamond Slab, by the end of the first day everyone had led a couple of pitches on these easier slabs.

The second day of climbing and these guys were thirsty to get back on the sharp end so we revisited the stunning and very photogenic Fallen Black. After leading the 2 best lines it was time to get pumped on the steep climbs on the main face of Blacknor South with them leading up to F5 on their first outing; all that time spent on the indoor walls had really paid off.
