Everywhere’s getting a roasting at the moment, including the alps.

I summited Mont Blanc yesterday, in my fastest guided time yet (five and a half hours from the Tete Rousse hut). It was also my warmest Mont Blanc yet, 34 degrees in the valley translated into a rather warm ascent. A thin fleece and a windproof was all I had all the way to the summit. Toasty.

We spent the afternoon at the Tete Rousse watching the snow slide off the mountains all around. Hopefully the temperatures will drop again soon, otherwise it’s going to be a dry summer.
