Had a nice hack about at Grand Montet this morning.

Pretty much skied out, as expected after a weekend of fresh snow. Fresh tracks don’t last long at Grand Montet, no matter what the visibility. We still found some nice snow though, mostly off the Bochard lift, and a good run down couloir Philipe from the Lognon to the Pierre Ric piste.

We could see folk breaking trail to the Col du Passon. There was a pretty long queue for the top lift, the rest of the lifts were quiet this morning.

Lot’s of folk heading up the midi this morning for Vallee Blanche’s which no doubt would be pretty good at the moment after the fresh snow.

People have been skiing the Aiguille d’plan as well, must be pretty rocky lower down though.

The weather’s due to remain cooler for a little while before settling at the weekend. Some snow showers in the forecast but nothing significant.
