It was another warm, windy and dry day in the cairngorms. Super warm again, with water running underneath many of the gullies and many lines much thinner than yesterday.
Having written that gloomy report I should say that many teams were out enjoying good conditions on the grade I gullies in the corries which are still full of snow.
We climbed the Couloir in Coire an Lochain before dropping down “Point Five” into Sneachda. The routes were busy so Henry and I recapped some snow belays before climbing a now empty Jacobs ladder.
It looks like the weather might go colder over the weekend, fingers crossed.
