Having a good time out in Chamonix this week, getting in some climbing and running with Matt who’s here for a week.
Yesterday we escaped the Chamonix valley and went through the tunnel into Italy for some multi-pitch rock climbing in the sunshine.
The Valle d-Aosta has loads of climbing, we headed for the Paretone crag in the Arnad region where we climbed a really good nine pitch route. It even had a cafe on the way down so we were able to stop for the obligatory ice cream and Italian coffee.

Today we had ourselves a trip into the mountains, to check out some conditions and breathe some thin air. We climbed the super classic Cosmiques Arete, which although I’ve done it lots before it’s still a great little route with fantastic views.
