Things are ticking along nicely here in Kathmandu, the rest of the team are due in at any minute and the jobs are getting ticked off the list all the time. Yesterday involved sorting out the mountain food, and necessitated a trip to an out of town supermarket, which is an experience all in itself.
Chocolate bars, biscuits, porridge and all the little things that make up your average days food for a long day on the hill.
We’ve been escaping the smog and busy Kathmandu centre by getting out on foot and clocking some pavement miles. Yesterday the Monkey temple, and today we headed right to the back of the valley to a newly built monastery.
Top tip: don’t eat food at the monkey temple, the monkeys are cheeky (pun intended) and it’s defiantly their territory, not ours. Much fun to be had watching people trying to eat crisps…
