The “Matterhorn Boys” are back out to the alps climbing with me in September and on Saturday they were up climbing in North Wales in preparation for the trip.
Our Alps trip is three days in duration, so by getting in some training beforehand we hope to maximize their time spent out here.
A couple of good friends and colleagues of mine, Lou and Tamsin, were on hand to give the boys a good day on the hill, some instruction and milleage (a beasting). Lots of scrambling, which will be great prep for our planned climbing out here (PD – AD type alpine routes)
The following day the boys went out on teir own for a trip up Snowdon, completing the round trip in two hours and thirty minutes, so it looks like they are fit and ready!
